Receptive to our customers’ demands, we have decided to take a step towards meat and meat products’ manufacturing. In 1997, LEFRUMARIN cold cuts factory was set up, subsequent to a 2-million-dollar investment, having a production capacity of 5 tons / day.

The ultimate machineries, the continuous researches and tests, and the specialists’ efforts have made LEFRUMARIN shortly undertake Brasov market, the rise in production requiring the sales department to intensify its activity as to setting up business on new markets.

In 2004, we have acquired our first SAPARD Project, of a-600,000-Euro amount, throughout which entirely new machineries have been purchased for meat processing. This project has been successfully finalized in July 2005.

Since August 2005, LEFRUMARIN has acquired the second SAPARD Project, of a-1,350,000-Euro amount, and other investments of own funds – totalising 1,500,000 Euros – were added.

All these held as goals the machinery and the cooling utility cars’ purchasing, as well as the construction and set up of a new meat processing factory, having a-4000-sq.m surface and a 35-ton/day capacity, to fully meet even the most demanding European Regulations in the Food Safety field.

In February 2007, a project for modernising, reengineering, and increasing the slaughtering capacity of LEFRUMARIN 2000 slaughter house was started, by means of the Romanian SAPARD financing programme, of over 1,500,000 Euros (out of which 918,000 Euros throughout SAPARD).
